Chuck Berry – Run Run Rudolph (Chords)

Chuck Berry – Run Run Rudolph (Chords)

An easy 3-chord Christmas song. And the benefit of being a twofer since Little Queenie (worth clicking for the video) is exactly the same.

Suggested Strumming

You can just stick with a simple down-up pattern with a bit of emphasis. Like this:

d u D U d u D U

Or you can throw in a few sixth chords like this:

I’m doing all down strums on this:

Twiddly Bits

An essential Berry intro:

And a not so essential harmonized outro:

Thanks for this Al. I had the privilege of seeing and being back stage with Chuck Berry at the Ritz in the 80s. He showed up in a car with just a guitar , amp, with a beautiful older blond in a white fur coat The band was waiting for him. In between songs he would scoot over to the end of the stage. Bend down to the blond , who would wipe the sweat off his face with a white towel while wearing the white mink coat. He moved like a teenager on stage that night. Sang and played like the legend he is. At the end of the show he left as he came. Out the back to the car with no fanfare. Carrying the guitar, the amp, the stunning older blond at his side. It was a wonderful night.
