Max the Ukulele Punk Rocker, Seeso and More Videos

Look, Mum, I’m in the New York Times. I do feel a little slighted that they didn’t include a link to me (FMM and MUD got one), but now you can expect to see a big, “As Featured in the New York Times,” sticker every time I mention the National Anthems ebook*.

Anyhoo, you came for ukulele videos, and that’s what you’ll get. Particularly good this week are Max the Ukulele Punk Rocker with an original song, and Seeso and Jason Arimoto (together and apart).

*As featured in the New York Times.

Max the Ukulele Punk Rocker – Jade

Seeso – Billie Jean

Seeso, Jason Arimoto and Bassfiddle Steve – The Weight

Jason Arimoto – Falling Again

Mark Occhionero – Keep Your Eyes on the Hands

Ukulele Igor – Maile Waltz

Takashi Nakamura – Sesame Street & Take the A Train

Ukulele Aya & Keonepax – Mauna Loa

katiephampham – Just Like Heaven

Congrats on the NYT write up – finally starting to get the recognition you deserve!

Thanks once again for the feature, Al. And congratulations on your well-deserved mention in the NY Times.

    Al,
My congrats also on your mention in the NYT, it is the best of the US newspapers when it comes to good reporting and writing, do they know you’re not from around here? Well anyway I was thinking of renewing my subscription, but then I can’t really afford it since I am saving for your next e-book.
    Good Work,
    Art

todd: You definitely should interview him.

    Mark: You’re very welcome.

    Ed: Cheers.

    Seeso: Thanks.

Art: Thanks. Yes, they do know. They say, “The popular United Kingdom-based Web site Ukulele Hunt…”

Woodshed: I just got the paper version of the NYT story today and reread it. I discovered that there doesn’t appear to be a way to email the story author or provide online comments, as other papers do! They are SO behind the times…Maybe they and John McCain can take some lessons on how to be internet/email savvy. So don’t feel too miffed by their omission!! You rock!

    Al & Uke Gal,
I agree, Al , U rock. And it is good that NYT did know UkeHunt is UK, that could be over looked by other US sources. A comment, I do think the NYT is more liberal leaning, meaning J McCain would be exchanged for Obama.

    A-political, Art

    Hey A-Political Art,
Well, the NYT could be considered right-leaning by some of my neighbors (near Berkeley, CA) : ) but I know it’s left leaning : ) However, JM is known for not knowing how to use the internet. Yikes!

Carol, Politics are funny, looks like we have gone from the Gore guy quoted to have invented the internet to JM who is challanged. Fortunately we have our AW who has created one of the best Web-Sites out there,

  11. Rob August 11th, 2008 2:29 pm

Politics aside, I try never to discuss politics with anyone who dosen’t agree with me. A mention in the times is a very big deal.Al, you should be proud.Congratulations.

  12. Nelson August 11th, 2008 5:53 pm

I’ve had Jade stuck in my head!

  13. Woodshed August 11th, 2008 9:03 pm

Carol & Art: I’ve mainly disengaged from politics since the Iraq War. I used to be quite politically involved, but it seems pointless now.

Rob: Thanks, Rob. And I am proud.

Nelson: Me too. “We’re changing, our ways…”

  14. Carol (Uke Gal) August 11th, 2008 10:08 pm

    Al & Art,
I also have disengaged from politics since the Iraq War. Don’t know why I sent out to everyone…must have been sleep deprived and uke overloaded!! : )
