The Saturday UkeTube

Far too many videos this week. A couple of Hawaiian masters, a ukulele/melodica cover of Beck, GUGUG, a bit of English folk music, loads of other stuff. Click More to see them all.

Ohta-San – Where Is My Love Tonight

The Be Arthurs – Think I’m In Love

Carl Ray Villaverde – Tears In Heaven

Working on a tab of this one already. You can find a very early version in the Rag Bag.

WS64 – Mr Sandman

Snake Suspenderz – Dr Hokum & Mr Jive

puzzmod – Water of Tyne

I love a bit of traditional English folk music. I wish more people sang like this.

Mattiniero – The Whistling Ukulele Troubadour

Jules – Jolene

I think Jools Holland would be much improved if it was filmed by a team of five year olds. Sound certainly would.

GUGUG – Destination Venus

The Jack Lords – 6 Months on a Leaky Boat

Watch the full session on MUD.

The Re-Entrants – Tainted Love

    Hello,
Phil from the Re-entrants here – thanks for posting ‘Tainted Love’. Maduke, the way we play it, the chords are Dm, F, Bb, F (then add the G note on the 3rd fret of the second string, then take it off again to complete the riff!). The lead in to the chorus if D (major this time), F , Bb, Gm.
    Keep on uking!

You’re welcome, Phil. So, spill the secret, how did you manage to get on the first page when you search for ‘ukulele’ on YouTube?

I wish I new! We posted loads of videos, none of which went over 1000 views in several months, then suddenly this one went crazy. 14,000 views within a couple of weeks and front page on you Tube! It’s a mystery to me…

i googled cielito lindo on uke and came to this site, can’t see to find the “show more button” to access it- anybody know where I could find chords for this beautiful song?

Does anyone have the tabs/chords and strum pattern for Jolene? Beginner here and would love to add this to my small/currently nonexistent repertoire.
