Amanda Palmer, Broken Records: UkeTube
September 27, 2008
Arrrrrgh. Some serious interweb connection problems for me at the moment. I’ve got a few posts lined up, but if you’re expecting a message from me, you may have to wait a while.
Anyhoo, this week’s videos include Amanda Palmer covering another Radiohead song on the uke. I would have included the Jack and Meg of the ukulele Versi-o-rama doing thieir version of Tonight You Belong to Me were it not for Dailymotion issues – the singing and ukeing might not be the best around, but the video more than makes up for it.
Amanda Palmer – Fake Plastic Trees
sweetafton23 – Political Science
Ukulelezaza – Somewhere My Love

If anyone is still up for more Radiohead and ukulele, have a look and listen to us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efz-WCH2×9k
Love them all. Broken Records is a special find. Thanks.
Luapelele: Excellent work. Great Q-chord action.
phredd: You’re welcome. Thanks for your contribution. Your stuff always brings a big, stupid grin to my face.
Arrrggh!
Shiver me timbers!!!
Thanks for the post… love your selection, also, as usual!
Nelson: Did I miss International Talk Like A Pirate Day? *Checks Google* Yaaarrrgh, that I did.
Jake: You’re welcome. Thanks for your contribution. It’s always great to hear your songs.
I agree with Phredd, the Broken Records are great, I always like bands that have a multitude of different instruments!
I also enjoyed Peter Delaney’s song as well.
Thanks for filtering out the good stuff!
Jason: Definitely. I don’t understand why so few bands think outside the bass, drums, guitar set up.
That Broken Records song is beautiful!
More please! They should be huge!
BonniePrinceLily: You’re right, they certainly should be. It looks like the uke isn’t a regular part of their set up, but there’s plenty more on their MySpace.
