Best of Uke Hunt: Theme Tunes

If you’ve been following the blog for a while you’ll have noticed that I love theme tunes. Even more, I love working them up for ukulele. So here’s a selection of my favourite film, TV and game themes that I’ve done over the years. It’s split up into theme tunes (mostly tabs) and songs (mostly chords).

    You really need to mention upfront the best two tunes you’ve ever tabbed (IMHO): the Top Cat theme and the Match of the Day theme! Love your site!

    Good stuff! I think your/Bianchi’s take on The Dumber They Come off’ve Boardwalk Empire could go in songs from TV shows. Love that tune.

    My wife and I have watched all three series of “Treme” twice (on DVD), and haven’t skipped the theme tune once – it’s so good. Probably not uke friendly, but very addictive. Great series too.

    David: I do really like the Match of the Day one. It’s proved very unpopular though!

    Milko: I completely forgot that was on Boardwalk Empire.

    David: I’ve never watched Treme. But I do like that theme song a great deal.

    Yeah, I love Treme and always listen to the theme too, but I do think it lends itself well to the uke
