Saturday UkeTube: MMMBops

Two versions of MMMBop this week (thanks to the Ukulele Underground thread). But they’ve both found a creative and new way to play it. Also this week is Ian Emmerson of the Re-Entrants‘ epic version of Bat Out of Hell.

Usually I wouldn’t include a video where the uke is painfully out of tune, but I’ve made an exception for Madeline Ava. Partly because I really like the song and partly because of, “It’s OK, Madeline. Your soul’s not out of tune.”

And don’t forget to get in your nominations for Ukulele Video of the Year

Poopy Lungstuffing – MMMBop

Krabbers – MMMBop

Ian Emmerson – Bat Out of Hell

alyssamarie067 – Classical Gas

Madeline Ava – Heart Champions

HelloJodi – Why Do Fools Fall In Love?

Seeso & Paolo Escobar – Rehab

Rob MacKillop – Rujero

Sebi – Friday I’m in Love

lisazy – If You’re Into It

Ian Emmerson is my new ukulele god… er… well… after Woodshed, of course.

I have been wanting to learn Bat out of Hell for ages but it’s such a monster to tackle. Awesome! (If you’re ever bored and looking for something to tab Al… hee hee!)

Paul: Lorks-a-mercy. It takes most of the afternoon just to listen to it ;)

Cheers for sticking my ‘Mr Meat’ on, wobbly sound and all, and thanks for the responses. That was actually take 2 – take 1 was better, but coming in at 11 minutes and 8 seconds, was too long for YouTube!
    I x

Pete: I can’t agree with that. It’s an awful song.

krabbers: You’re welcome. I’ve put it on the front page as well.

Ian: Save it for the DVD.

    Awesome Bat out of Hell

  14. Woodshed January 26th, 2009 9:26 pm

cbf and Mary: I’m hoping this is the first part of a Meat series.

zym and Lisa: I only realised when I saw your video as well. I torrented the first one and I was a little disappointed. Perhaps it was the over-expectation. Second episode downloading as we speak.

    sebi: Thanks for you contribution.

    Hey Ian,
If you’re ever bored and you want to do another Meatloaf one, I suggest Heaven Can Wait, I think it would sound great on the uke
