Garfunkel and Oates – Year End Letter (Chords)

Garfunkel and Oates – Year End Letter (Chords)

Jay Leno has sky rocketed in my esteem recently. Last week he had Victoria Vox on and yesterday it was Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome.

The pair were premiering a new Christmas song and, as always, it was hilarious. More than deserving of a fast-track chording.

Yah Baltimore and non existing instruments. We’re so proud of Victoria and her free meals. Room for another?

    Brilliant!

At the risk of sounding like a nerd-troll, one of the lyrics on the chord sheet is off. The line is “Fancy feast, indeed.” Fancy Feast is a brand of cat food in the states (and here in Canada.)

Love it, this is exactly why I don’t send Christmas cards.

Joey: I wonder who Jay will have on next. I vote for U900.

    Phredd: Agreed!

Braden: Thanks for the correction – the reference is completely lost on me.

Kelly: I don’t have anyone to send xmas cards to. But even if I did, I wouldn’t.

This actually makes me want to put out a holiday letter about how terrable life is. Maybe I’ll just facebook it. Sigh… :)

Thanks for this! I know it seems like I only comment when Garfunkel and Oates are involved, but that’s only because it’s true.

I was trying to figure out the chords when I was watching (you know you’ve spent too much time playing the ukulele when…), but now I don’t have to watch it over and over trying to get them. (Not that I’m not planning to watch it over and over anyway.

Another one to add to the list of songs to play when I get my new uke for Christmas.

    Thanks, Woodshed!

Joey: In the age of social networks you do have to wonder what the point of year end letters is.

live2tivo: Yay, new ukulele for Christmas. What are you getting?

I’m getting a Mitchell…which I am playing right now. (I got new strings put on it this afternoon, and I’m trying to stretch them before it gets wrapped, so I won’t spend Christmas morning having to constantly re-tune it).

Thank you! Garfunkel and Oates are my favourite! Do you think you could try and put more of their songs on here? they are brilliant!

  11. Woodshed July 13th, 2010 8:28 pm

Lydia: I’ve done a fair few of their songs (if you include the solo stuff). Might do more.
