South Park – Tardicaca Hula Gal (Chords)

South Park – Tardicaca Hula Gal (Chords)

A ukulele song cropped up on South Park. So it was inevitable it’d end up on here.

The song was interrupted various times, but I think I pieced together the first verse and the chorus.

Twiddly Bits

Quite possibly the first time in history the words, “We want the ukulele solo!” have been used.

Here’s the version that makes the ukulele explode.

And it really is a B flat that does it. Interestingly, B flat seems to be the note and key of choice for comedy. I seem to remember George saying, “We should have done it in B flat,” after the UOGB’s song on Skins.

I’m I the only one that got the Bugs Bunny / “Endearing Young Charms” reference? Geez I’m old.

That bit at the end is “Those Endearing Young Charms,” as used in numerous Warner Brothers cartoons. The gag was first used in the Private Snafu WWII propaganda film about Booby Traps.

While it is a good song, you would not believe how quickly “haha jimmy you were on south park last night” got old. Bad times

I had a family member tell me about this episode of South Park. I told her I would only watch if nothing awful was going to happen to the ukulele. Needless to say, she lied to me!

Thanks! AND I found a new ring tone: “We want the ukulele solo!”

    Tuscadero: You’re worthy.

Mikey: It’s been a long time since I watched South Park – they ran out of ideas a long time ago. And let’s just say I found this to be the highlight of the episode.

4DJB25, Foxboy and David: Good knowledge. Thanks very much for that.

Jimmy: Be grateful your name’s Jimmy rather than Timmy.

    Cat Green Bike: Thanks.

Lonna: It was worth it to get you to watch it.

    Mike: Good thinking.

Awesome job with the chords. I found the next verse. The song was originally titled ‘Honolulu Hula Girl’. I’ve amended the last line slightly so it fits in with Jimmy’s version! Ukulele and South Park! My two great passions combined!!

    Verse 2
Out at the beach, with your dear little peach
Where the waves are rolling in so high
Holding her hand, while you sit on the sand,
You promise you’ll win her heart or die!
You start in to tease, you give her a squeeze
Her heart is all in a whirl
If you get in a pinch, go to it’s a cinch
    When spooning Tardicaca hula girl!

    Gray Wilson: Thanks!

Got something to say?
