Last chance to order a Uke Hunt t-shirt. The minimum order has been passed so they’re definitely going to get made and shipped as soon as the pre-ordering is done.

Ukulele chord changer – like the Chordmaster that Islanders used to have. You strap it to the neck, press a button and it’ll make a chord for you. I wouldn’t recommend it for most people but I know a guy with arthritis who uses a Chordmaster so worth checking out if you have those sort of problems.

Blimey, I go away for a couple of days and tonnes of stuff appears! Well done Al, this lot will keep me busy for a good while.

You do play the ukulele with a pick if you are
hopeless/helpless with your fingers, Al. I recommend the thin, composite felt, types that look just like a guitar pick.

In fact, I’d recommend them to guitar players for
a change of pace from the hard-as-the-Rock-of-Gibralter stones some of them use.

Yes, they wear away after a while, but they’re light, an infinite improvement over the old-school
thick stuff, and their give allows for easy strumming.

Ukulele World and a ukulele plectrum shoppe in
    the UK carry the things.

My problem is strumming down and suddenly out of nowhere the pick flies off into some other dimension. I cannot see it take off, it just disappears.

This happens when the pick is worn down and I’m
too cheap to use a new one. Theoretically it should be easy enough to find because how far can it go?

But, nooks and crannies, and whatnot are just
    waiting for the errant thing.

Seeing the shirts reminds me that I saw the logo
on a video some time or other. No site name, of course, but definitely the same design.

Might have been a different color, but the same thing. The lettering might be considered part of the logo such that others might use the “template” without the words.

Re Ukelatino: I’ve noticed, in my video watching, that Spanish speakers tend to use the ‘ukelele’
    spelling a lot.

Just one example is La Familia de Ukeleles. So,
people out looking for something new, interesting,
and entertaining should be sure to search on the ‘e’ spelling as well as the usual one.

You’ll find things you will not find otherwise.
Of course, YouTube does not recognize this alternate spelling. Unbelievable.

You type in the ‘e’ version and it uses the usual spelling. You then have to click on the ‘e’
    spelling.

With all of the videos using the ‘e’ spelling,
not accepting it for searches is incomprehensible.

    To me, anyway.

    The cheeky mare…

I use a plectrum on my low-g tenors and the baritone. Why didn’t he just shake it instead of bending the strings back like that? What a prat.

I think my favorite part about that hand stuck in uke story is that he insists that it’s his ‘friend’ who has his hand stuck in a Uke (despite having a picture of his face beside his tweets) until the final moment, when he says YES I’m FREE!

That Martin is drop dead gorgeous. I wonder how it sounds?

On an unrelated note- For next year’s run of shirts (I say next year because you’re totally going to do a yearly run of them now, right?) It’d be pretty rad if you brought back white as an option like the first time. I got two blacks this time instead of a black and white.

Alistair: Glad I could help catch you up!

Ron: I believe ukulele in Spanish is officially ukelele. I could be wrong about that though.

Steven: It’s a very enjoyable album.

Kyle: If he’d shaken it he wouldn’t have got a tweet-saga out of it!

Jotegr: Sorry, the white shirts didn’t do very well last year so they won’t be returning.
